A Thank You from the Executive Director

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended our annual meeting on Thursday, May 26, 2016 and participated in a robust, productive, and thoughtful dialogue around our current housing challenges and solutions that best suit our neighborhood, city and region. Although we all approach this topic from different points of view, it was refreshing to see residents from all walks of life, representing the rich diversity of our neighborhood, talking about an issue that affects us all. The focus of the discussion was “Observations of Tomorrow: Our Current Housing Needs,” featuring a panel of renowned housing experts: Tim Reardon (Data Services Director, Metropolitan Area Planning Council), Clark Ziegler (Executive Director, Massachusetts Housing Partnership), Undersecretary Chrystal Kornegay (Mass Department of Housing and Economic Development) and Sheila Dillon (Chief of Housing & Director of the Department of Neighborhood Development, City of Boston) . Their presentations can be found here:

For 36 years the Allston Brighton CDC has working to build a stronger and more stable community, we would not be able to do this work without the your support-our neighbors, friends, colleagues, partners and constituents. We have appreciated having you, by our side, as we advocate for affordable housing and a more stable neighborhood for all residents and look forward to the next 36 years. We hope to see you at our 37th annual meeting next year, to continue the momentum we have built together.

All the best,

Carol Ridge Martinez
