Credit Score: A Story of Success
One of the main factors a loan officer will take into consideration when you submit your loan application is your credit score. Having a healthy credit score will open the doors to several mortgage products and will allow you to obtain a lower interest rate.
Jasmany Beato, one of our Homebuying 101 Classes graduates and coaching clients, established this as one of his priorities right after completing his class. By creating a goal oriented action plan, Jasmany improved his credit score by 80 points in six months.
“Allston Brighton CDC has helped me gain perspective on what is important in my life in order to achieve my goal of buying a home. By having a plan and knowing what your short and long term goals are, will be the only way to succeed. Allston Brighton CDC has provided me with the tools to become a first time buyer”, said Jasmany.
To achieve this result, Jasmany took several steps including opening additional credit lines and keeping his payments current.
