ABCDC is looking to expand our Homeownership & Counseling team with a new housing counselor! Housing counselors are critical to ABCDC’s mission of helping low- and moderate-income residents achieve greater financial stability and long-term upward economic mobility. These programs help folks in our community to increase their understanding of credit, debt, savings, budgeting, and the homeownership process, with the goals of building assets, stabilizing housing situations, and preparing for and achieving sustainable homeownership.
Housing counselors serve ABCDC residents and clients with a range of incomes as they formulate and pursue their financial goals, ranging from paying their rent on time, to increasing their income through job training and employment, to saving for and purchasing their first home. We utilize web and social media tools to increase our reach to more first-time homebuyers and provide easy access to high-quality information and resources, so that first-time homebuyers can make sound decisions during the process of purchasing their homes.
