We are excited to announce our new Board President, John Heaster (he/him)! John is a business analyst at JPMorgan Chase and helps businesses to grow and scale. Prior to that, he worked at State Street in a variety of managerial and consulting roles, providing services to institutional investors. He is an Empower Success Corps Catalyst Fellow where he enjoys helping non-profits solve challenges and increase their impact. He serves as a mentor and advisor to professionals and disadvantaged youth.

In addition to the financial sector, John is an avid participant in financial markets and startup ecosystems. John is passionate about improving economic development by building connections between the people, businesses, and organizations of a community.

“As a resident and investor in Allston Brighton, I saw the accelerating transformation of the area and its effect on individuals and the community. I wanted to make a positive impact on the community and improve the quality of life for those in need. After engaging with ABCDC, I was impressed with its mindfulness and success in affordable housing development, financial literacy, and resident services. It is an honor to lead alongside the other board members and talented staff to help ABCDC continue its mission.”

John grew up in Hawaii and moved to Allston Brighton for school. In his free time, he enjoys training his dog, and meeting new people. He is excited to contribute and help the ABCDC achieve its goals and help Allston Brighton thrive economically and socially.
