Please joining us in welcoming our newest Board member, Kwasi! Dr. Kwasi Agbleke is a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University and researches chromosome organization and function in mammalian cells. Kwasi’s passion is to foster economic growth within the community he lives in. In the past decade, he has been a member of Habitat for Humanity where he has volunteered several hours for new building projects; served as a reviewer for undergraduate research projects for minority students in science, technology, engineering and Math (STEM); and mentor students in STEM.

He is an ardent believer in education as a source of progress. About ten years ago he founded a research institute in Ghana to build capacity in science, technology and the arts. Recently, he founded a startup, TalkCoast, to complement education globally by matching professionals to educational institutions underserved communities. Kwasi recently graduated from Harvard University with a Masters degree in Management and he’s excited to contribute to the Allston Brighton community by bringing his expertise on board. He looks forward to working with the ABCDC board and the community to achieve lasting economic growth in the neighborhood.

In his spare time, he loves to play soccer, garden and, enjoy good company.
