Upcoming Programs

February Staycation at Boston Landing

WHEN: Monday, February 16th to Friday, February 20th

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Boston Landing’s February Staycation is a week-long, pick-your-own experience for families, featuring daily activities and pop-ups across campus—some timed, some drop-in. February Staycation at Boston Landing brings together free kids activities, ice skating, games, food, and pop-in entertainment across campus-all designed to be flexible, welcoming, and family-approved. All ages are welcome!

Expect hands-on kids crafts, free ice skating, cozy lounge moments, classic board games, and pop-in entertainment-thoughtfully scheduled throughout the day and designed for families to explore at their own pace. On-site restaurants will also be featuring family-friendly menus.

This flexible, drop-in program makes it easy for families to participate in whatever works best for their day. Guests can follow the day’s schedule or pop into select activities based on timing and interest.

While most experiences are open and drop-in, select activities hosted by on-site partners do require advance registration and will be clearly noted in the agenda. Free food, crafts, and special experiences are available while supplies last.

Aikido For All Ages at BCYF Jackson Mann, February & March

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Aikido is a Japanese martial art style that enables students to defend themselves against attacks while protecting the attackers from injury. Students will learn to use their skill and mental strength to blend with an opponent and safely subdue them without aggression or violence.

Aikido incorporates blending, throws and joint locks, as well as rolls and breakfalls. A strong emphasis on calm and spiritual strength will be encouraged in class.

Students of any age or physical ability are welcome. Accommodations will be made for any needs of the students.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Peewee futsal is a fun, fast-paced, indoor soccer game for young players, played on a smaller court with a smaller, low-bounce ball, emphasizing technical skills and quick decision-making in a confined space. Ages 5 to 8.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Girls ages 8-11 are invited to join us for our BCYF Girls Instructional Futsal Program. This program is designed to provide youth the opportunity to learn the basics of Futsal, dribbling, shooting, passing and teamwork. Over the course of the 8 weeks, girls will spend time learning and practicing the game, and then have the opportunity to put what they are learning into action by playing in 3 games against other BCYF Community Centers. This program will involve travel to other BCYF Sites for 3 games. The schedule is subject to change.

Program Highlights

Allston Brighton Youth Field Day

Allston Brighton CDC’s Brighton Future Forward (BFF) youth program helped to organize an incredible Field Day with Friends of McKinney Park! Attendees participated in rowing exercises, flag football, cheer, hockey, basketball, and even fencing.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event: Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Brighton Main Streets, Brighton Marine, Brighton High School Cheerleaders, Boston Fencing Club, Boston University Fencing Club, BU Club Roller Hockey, Community Rowing, Inc. – CRI, Road to the Right Track, Saint Columbkille Partnership School, Allston Brighton Little League, West End House, Red Sox Foundation, Harvard Ed Portal, Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center, Ziggy’s, Boston City Councilor Liz Breadon, Will Brownsberger, and Kevin G. Honan.

Brighton High Boys' Basketball Team

Brighton High Boy’s Basketball Team qualified for the 2025 State Tournament and advanced to the second round of the playoffs! Congrats to the Bengals Boy’s Hoop Team!

Providence College Women's Club Ice Hockey Team

Local Brighton Resident & College Student Athlete Sofia Guarino played in the 2025 National Women’s Club Ice Hockey Championships in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ice Hockey Tournament

Allston Brighton Youth Hockey organizes a fund raiser Ice Hockey Tournament for the past 20 years. The Allston Brighton Ice Hockey Jamboree has local players ages 16 – 60 years old!
