PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Be part of the very first Boston Landing Skate Spectacular — Big Hair. Iconic Hits. A Tribute to the 80s. This free, high-energy skating showcase brings bold choreography, iconic throwback hits, and dynamic on-ice talent to Warrior Ice Arena for an unforgettable night out. Doors open at 6:00 PM. The performance begins at 6:30 PM and will run approximately 50 minutes.

The show will be choreographed and performed by professional skating artists with American Ice Theatre, featuring theatrical storytelling, bold 80s-inspired costuming, and energy-filled throwback hits — all set to an electrifying soundtrack of iconic 80s music. Guests will experience the performance on the same rink where the Boston Bruins practice along with fun photo opportunities. A full cash bar will be available courtesy of Broken Records, and Warrior Ice Arena will offer concessions for purchase at their concession stand.

Following the performance, guests ages 6 and older are invited to participate in a guided on-ice experience where attendees will learn to dance and skate with the performers! This interactive lesson extends the energy of the show onto the ice, blending movement, music, and fun in a way that aligns directly with the performance theme.

Parafencing Open House at Boston Fencing Club- April 11th

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Come try something new at Boston Fencing Club! If you’ve always dreamed of being like Zorro or a Jedi, or you are simply looking to try an engaging new sport, join us on Saturday April 11th from 1pm-3pm for parafencing demonstrations, lessons, and special guests. Parafencing is a seated sport which is enjoyed by athletes of all ages with upper and lower limb differences, mobility impairments, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and other disabilities. It is one of the original sports of the Paralympics!

The event will begin at 1pm with drop-in parafencing lessons, and around 2pm we will begin exhibition matches between experienced parafencers and a Q & A! Appropriate for ages 6 through adult

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Learn to Row April Vacation is a shortened version of our Youth Learn to Row program where rowers age 12-18 have a chance to try the sport in a fun and safe environment. They will be introduced to the basics of rowing on both indoor rowing machines and on the water on our training catamarans. Rowers who enjoy the experience and want to row more are encouraged to sign up for our regular spring, summer or fall Learn to Row programs.

Registration is $140 per participant. Prerequisites: None. All participants are required to have a valid Swim Test on file. Lifejackets are available for use.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Learn to Row is an introductory non-competitive course, where rowers age 12-18 have a chance to try the sport in a fun and safe environment. They will learn rowing terminology, learn how to handle the equipment, and develop a basic set of rowing skills.

Sweep rowing involves using one oar per rower, which means you’re always rowing as part of a team. Move together as one, glide down the river together, and enjoy all that comes from being in sync on the water.

Registration is $537 per participant. Prerequisites: None. All participants are required to have a valid Swim Test on file. Lifejackets are available for use.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Our Girls Youth Hockey Skills Program is designed to inspire, challenge, and elevate the next generation of female players through elite-level instruction in a fun and supportive environment. Led by current and former NCAA Division I women’s hockey players, this program gives athletes the unique opportunity to learn directly from those who have competed at the highest levels of the game. Each on-ice session will focus on building a strong foundation of essential skills including skating, stick-handling, shooting, and passing, while also developing game awareness and hockey IQ. Players will be guided through high-tempo drills, small-area games, and situational training designed to improve confidence, decision-making, and overall performance in game situations. As well as skill development drills. Whether your athlete is looking to refine fundamentals or take the next step in their development, this program provides high-level coaching, positive mentorship, and a competitive learning atmosphere that empowers girls to grow both on and off the ice.

Softball Spring 2026

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: From building off the skills learned in tee-ball to the major kid-pitch games, Allston Brighton Little League has Softball for girls age 6 to 14 starting this Spring! Registration is $110 per child.

ABLL wants any interested kid to be able to play softball, regardless of financial situation. We have many generous community partners that help cover registration fees. Please send ABLL an email to let them know how we can help and we’ll get you registered

All softball levels are travel teams that play surrounding towns in the Citytown league. U10, U12, and U14 will have 2 games + 1 practice a week, with 12-14 games. They will play in a post-season playoff or consolation game(s).

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Aikido is a Japanese martial art style that enables students to defend themselves against attacks while protecting the attackers from injury. Students will learn to use their skill and mental strength to blend with an opponent and safely subdue them without aggression or violence.

Aikido incorporates blending, throws and joint locks, as well as rolls and breakfalls. A strong emphasis on calm and spiritual strength will be encouraged in class.

Students of any age or physical ability are welcome. Accommodations will be made for any needs of the students.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Week long camps during school vacations and summer months. Includes on and off-ice activities across the Boston Landing Campus! Our camps feature 2 on-ice sessions in the morning and afternoon. The morning portion will focus on skill development, while the afternoon skates will typically involve a scrimmage or other small area games for campers to apply the skills they learned in the morning. This camp will cover puck control, creating scoring chances, defensive play, how to win corner battles, puck retrieval, break-out passes, defending one on ones and odd-man rushes, board play, closing the gap, shooting with a purpose, puck clears, defense skating, body positioning, and much more.

The clinic will also include skating skills for skaters who want to work on their edge quality, control, transitions, and power skating. After our on-ice sessions, we will head to the state-of-the-art and one of the largest track and field complexes in the world, the TRACK at new balance, where we will play games throughout the week such as kickball, soccer, tag, dodgeball, wiffle ball and more. Campers will also have individual and group time throughout the day. The campers will be introduced to stretching, off-ice agility, ladder footwork, core training, and other wellness information. Other activities include bowling at American Flatbread & free time at Action Athletics. Food will be available for purchase each day of camp, but campers are permitted to bring their own food (Peanut Aware Facility).

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Youth Summer Learn to Scull is for boys and girls ages 12-18 years who have not rowed before, or who participated a previous session of Learn to Row but have never been sculled (rowing in a single rowing shell with an oar in each hand, instead of in a boat with other rowers using both hands on the same oar). This is an introductory course where kids try the sport of rowing in a fun and safe environment. They will learn rowing terminology, learn to handle equipment and develop a basic set of rowing skills. Training will take place in flat, stable singles.

Registration is $560 per participant per week. Prerequisites: None. All participants are required to have a valid Swim Test on file. Lifejackets are available for use.

Allston Brighton Youth Field Day

Allston Brighton CDC’s Brighton Future Forward (BFF) youth program helped to organize an incredible Field Day with Friends of McKinney Park! Attendees participated in rowing exercises, flag football, cheer, hockey, basketball, and even fencing.
