Join us in welcoming our newest Board President, Amelia Youngstrom. Amelia is a lifelong resident of Boston and she has been involved in ABCDC for the past two years. After proving herself as a leader and advocate on our Governance and Real Estate Committees, Amelia decided to take on the role of Board President with the help of Vice President of our Board, Aida Franquiz.

Amelia has worked for Action for Boston Community Development for over five years. She started out as a case manager and she now works as a Program Director at their downtown office. Her interest in ABCDC stems from her passion for creating neighborhoods where everyone can thrive.

“I want to help build more inclusive neighborhoods and I’m excited for the opportunity to work directly in the Allston Brighton community.” As President of our Board, she is excited to work to increase the supply of affordable housing in the neighborhood and ensure that everyone has a safe place to call home.
