Over the past month, the construction team has started the roof replacement at the Hill Memorial Baptist Church! This marks the first step towards preserving the existing church structure, which is an important aspect in the creation of 49 units of affordable senior housing, as well as an inclusive community space.

Later this Spring, the team will work on repairing the exterior siding, as well as replacing the windows at the church. The exterior wood shingle cladding will be replaced with historically accurate shingles and trim covering the exterior of the structure. The windows throughout the church building will be either restored or replaced in an effort to duplicate the original conditions of the historic property.
