Please join us in welcoming our Policy and Advocacy Summer Intern, Anu Makinde. Anu is entering her final year at the University of Ottawa enrolled in the Honours in Sociology program. She has previously volunteered in political campaigns in America and Canada and studied energy burden amongst government subsidized housing residents and Immigrant, Refugee and First-Generation American communities with Burlington Electric Department in Vermont. She’s excited to work with the Community Action team at ABCDC this summer and be involved in advocating for local policies that supplement affordable housing. In her free time, she also enjoys watching Award Shows, spending time with family and reading.
