Allston Brighton Community Development Corporation

Working together, building community

We are so excited to announce that we were awarded funding through the Gap Energy Grant Program administered by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP). The goal of this program is to fill the “gap” in project financing to reduce energy use, increase energy efficiency, and generate renewable energy. This award will help to support two of our development projects, The Carol Avenue Rehab and our Hano Homes Deep Energy Retrofit.

Over the past several years, ABCDC has made a commitment to pursuing green technologies at our properties to not only reduce the environmental impact of development, but to create healthy homes for LMI residents. This award allows ABCDC to add to the renewable energy grid, while also reducing energy costs.

We would like to thank everyone at MassDEP for helping to make these projects possible and for their commitment towards a more sustainable Massachusetts.  In addition, we’d like to express our appreciation for the support of Resonant Energy, a Boston-based solar energy company, that developed the rooftop solar array for each of these properties.
